The Montenegro family is made up of 6 people - Ricardo (Dad), Patricia (Mom), Ravi (Son), Nessa, Alita, and Vanea (Daughters) - and has included every kind of pet imaginable over the years (a horse, goats, dogs, cats, lizards, birds, rabbits). Over the last 35 years we have lived in nearly a dozen homes, scattered between Northern California (Mendocino and Redding), Southern California (many cities around LA), and Minnesota. At the current time Ricardo, Patricia, Nessa and Vanea live in Redding. Alita and Ravi have preferred big cities (LA & Boston) | |||||||||||||

Our son, Ravi, is currently an Associate Professor in Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Lowell (near Boston). He is married to Emily Ross, a Kiwi (of the Homo Sapien variety), and has a baby son Corin. The last decade has involved quite a bit of moving, with life in Connecticut, Tokyo, Atlanta and now Boston. Our eldest daughter, Nessa, is a nurse in Redding, after graduating from Nursing School at BIOLA University. She seems to be enjoying her life, having even bought her own house, is married to John Miller and has two stepsons Cambrin and Samuel. The middle daughter, Alita, is living and working in Orange County, near LA. She has always had the best fashion sense in the family, and even used to try to get her brother Ravi to wear cool clothes (a hopeless endeavor). When not busy at work she and her husband Troy are raising her two stepsons Brandon and Tristan. The youngest daughter, Vanea, is graduated from Azusa Pacific University in Dec '09 and now lives in Redding with her husband Daniel and sons Daven and Harper. She spent a semester at Oxford, in England, eating fish and chips (maybe), rowing in crew (yes, it's true) and even worked in her college pub! | Nessa and her husband John | |||||||||||||

And of course, we can't forget Rico and Patty, the Montenegro Family parents! Rico has been doing consulting for horticulture and environmental issues in Northern California, and recently started working for the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation. Here's a video of one of their recent projects. Patty is enjoying life now that the kids have all moved out. | |||||||||||||
